Update - Engineer will fix tomorrow 1/8.
Jan 07, 2026 - 13:59 EST
Investigating - Back panel of SC3T is not attached correctly. Ticket# 400113614413. System is fully operational
Jan 06, 2026 - 15:57 EST
Monitoring - Diagnostic cable to the compressor was knocked loose. Cable is re-attached and alarm is gone. System is fully operational, and users are able to scan. Will continue to monitor throughout the week for any additional leaks or problems.
Jan 06, 2026 - 12:21 EST
Update - Per Siemens engineer: "It is OK to continue scanning, the system is at 50.4% helium and has been steady since ramping yesterday. Temperatures and pressure all look good, except the cold head compressor is not reporting correctly, which is most likely what triggered the alarm. Will be over to assess shortly."
Jan 06, 2026 - 11:50 EST
Update - Ticket#400113613594. Waiting for further instruction from Siemens.
Jan 06, 2026 - 11:33 EST
Investigating - SC3T is showing a low helium warning. CAMRIS staff. Are looking into the issue. In the interim, the scanner is not available for use.
Jan 06, 2026 - 10:55 EST
Monitoring - The SC3T has been ramped up and is ready for use. System is fully operational

Siemens will continue to monitor the secondary cooling loop throughout the week.

Jan 05, 2026 - 16:58 EST
Update - Siemens is currently ramping the SC3T scanner back up to field. We expect to be fully operational by this evening and scanning will resume as scheduled tomorrow.
Jan 05, 2026 - 11:06 EST
Update - Per Siemens service "The current plan is to complete the de-ice and helium fill today, let the system stabilize over the weekend, and ramp up on Monday." Hopeful to have the system back by Tuesday but will provide updates as Siemens works on the issues.
Jan 02, 2026 - 11:21 EST
Identified - The SC3T scanner will now be down through at least Monday January 5th as Siemens completes maintenance, refills helium, and ramps the magnet back to field. We will provide further updates as we have more information.
Dec 31, 2025 - 18:17 EST
Update - SC3T will be offline through at least Friday Jan 2nd as we await a helium refill. Siemens will also perform scheduled service on the magnet during this downtime.

We will provide more information about when the scanner will be available as Siemens investigates the cause of the error and performs service.

Dec 29, 2025 - 14:35 EST
Investigating - Siemens detected a chiller failure at SC3T. The scanner is offline until further notice. We will provide an update on scanner availability when we have more information.
Dec 29, 2025 - 11:09 EST
Update - Siemens will come out on Monday afternoon to assess this issue.
Dec 19, 2025 - 12:17 EST
Update - Updated issue to reflect that 20-channel coil is only affected piece of equipment
Dec 17, 2025 - 13:54 EST
Investigating - The 20 Channel Siemens QA came back as "Not OK" after multiple attempts. Siemens will come out on Monday to look at it, but for now, the coil is fine to continue use per Siemens.
Ticket Number 400113587932
I selected MRI Scanner as Component affected, because the 20 Channel is not an option.

Dec 17, 2025 - 13:32 EST
Monitoring - Scanner is able to successfully open association with remote node. Flywheel is working, reaping has been restarted and may take another few hours to work through the backlog.
Dec 12, 2025 - 16:40 EST
Investigating - Failure to successfully open association with remote node likely due to memory issues on host computer (Ticket #: 400113572325), Flywheel not working.
Dec 08, 2025 - 11:35 EST
Identified - Siemens believes this is a protocol issue. They suggest rebuilding the sequence and if the problem still persists after that, then they would have to contact someone in Germany to take a look at it.
Nov 14, 2025 - 15:41 EST
Update - Tech support investigating the issue and will update 11/14.
Nov 13, 2025 - 17:48 EST
Investigating - Ticket# 400113534666. Repeatedly experiencing 3D shim errors while shimming for VISTA sequence. Consulting Siemens tech support for help to investigate. Scanner is operational
Nov 13, 2025 - 11:01 EST
Investigating - There is a RF noise spike in the higher bandwidth range when running CAMRIS QA on the 20-channel head coil. An image artifact was seen on a 3D Flash sequence at higher bandwidths. We are currently investigating.
Apr 07, 2025 - 15:29 EDT
Identified - We are awaiting a replacement monitor for SC3T, and in the interim the monitor from SC7T has been moved to SC3T. We expect a replacement monitor will be available this summer, and will provide a more specific update once we have additional information from the manufacturer.
Apr 24, 2025 - 14:40 EDT
Investigating - We are currently investigating this issue.
